University of Ulm

In 2009/2010 winter term, Karl Petersen and Dr. Christian Zwirner are holding a series of lectures on the issue "Special Issues Concerning the Preparation of Financial Statements" at the University of Ulm. The lectures are based on the close cooperation between Kleeberg and Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Marten, Head of the Institute of Accounting and Auditing at the University of Ulm.

The two speakers will impart the fundamentals of consolidated accounting to students in this course of lectures, focusing on the standards of the German Commercial Code and IFRS. On the basis of the obligation to draw up consolidated financial statements and to determine the group of consolidated companies, the steps required to draw up consolidated financial statements including the necessary consolidation measures are explained and illustrated with a host of practical examples.
